Welcome to Eighth Grade

In their final year of Middle School, eighth graders further develop their academic and study skills and pursue their interests in sports and artistic areas.
They focus on literary analysis, developing research and presentation skills, seeking understanding in mathematics, and inquiring about the fundamentals in physics and chemistry. Students pursue the study of either Spanish, Latin, or French.
They have the opportunity to lead service projects such as Relay for Life, organize the middle school talent show, take part in a three-day outdoor class retreat in April, and select class members for leadership roles in Upper School. It is a year of closure and transition as the faculty guide them toward the next step in their educational experience.
