Science in Fifth Grade

The study of fifth grade science is designed to introduce students to the physical science world followed by a study of ecosystems and food chemistry. From the study of basic scientific terms to the study of scientific measurements, light, sound, energy, and motion, students gain insight and understanding of how these elements of the world relate to them and their surroundings.

Hands-on activities and group cooperation make this course an engaging one for the students. The middle school learner is “wired” for the active, inquiry-based approach to science which is utilized as the year progresses in an exciting, action-packed experience.
