Learning Resource Program
Athens Academy supports its students’ achievement in the college preparatory curriculum. Athens Academy recognizes that children learn in many different ways. Addressing individual needs and assisting students to become independent learners is the mission of the Learning Resource Program.
The Athens Academy Learning Resource Program augments the college preparatory academic program for students who need assistance in study skills or actual academic support in a particular class. These students may or may not have diagnosed learning differences.
Some students benefit from additional individual support outside the regular classroom. This may range from after school sessions with the classroom teacher to instruction by a private tutor (at an additional charge to parents*) in a specific academic area, or small group work within the school day.
The program requires close and frequent communication among parents, faculty, and learning support personnel. The Learning Resource Program provides on- campus tutoring for students in grades K-12 before, during, or after school.
*A current fee schedule is available on request.
