Upper School Homepage
The Upper School at Athens Academy is a place where our motto, “Excellence with Honor”, is realized. Students strive for their personal best through involvement in the four pillars of Athens Academy: academics, athletics, fine arts, and service. The pursuit of achievement is guided by Upper School Students’ belief in the value of honor and the student adjudicated honor system.
The freedom to pursue one’s passions
within the framework of a liberal arts curriculum helps shape the Upper School experience. Academy students are challenged by a demanding yet caring and supportive faculty who guide their intellectual and emotional growth. In striving for excellence, Upper School students are prepared for the challenges that await them in college and life beyond the classroom.
We recognize that a star science student may also be the captain of the volleyball team, the first chair violin may also be the president of one of our four service clubs, and the editor of the Spartan Review may also enjoy webcasting our home football games. Through all our student endeavors, the expectation is the pursuit of their personal best.
