Athens Academy Summer Camp
CAMP DAY – Camp is held from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Campers bring a sack lunch each day, but drinks are provided. Lunches are not refrigerated. After lunch each day, campers enjoy bringing $0.75 cents to purchase a treat at the camp store.
Extended time is available beginning at 7:40 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. at an additional charge. During this time, campers participate in structured activities, snack time, and supervised play.
CAMP STAFF – Counselors with specialized training in the field of education serve as group and activity leaders. Leaders are assisted by college and high school students. The safety and happiness of each camper are safeguarded at all times by our staff.
LOCATION - Athens Academy Summer Camp is located on the campus of Athens Academy. Facilities include six tennis courts, athletic fields, a playground, two gymnasia, and the Lower School Media Center and Barrett Hall. The camp has access to the school’s 154 acres of rolling hills and two lakes.AGE GROUPS – Boys and girls four-years-old as of the first day of camp through rising fifth graders are eligible to attend. Campers are divided into groups according to their age. Groups are kept to a minimum number in order for each child to receive a great deal of attention and supervision.
