After School Programs
2010-2011
Preschool Stay and Play
12:00 p.m.-3:20 p.m.Stay and Play supervision is available daily for K3 through Pre-first students at no additional cost. K3 and K4 students bring a lunch, have a rest period, and enjoy indoor/outdoor play. Pre-first students have indoor/outdoor play from 1:30 p.m.-3:20 p.m. An afternoon snack is provided for all Stay and Play students. Parents are required to register students in advance and drop-in service is not available. Questions should be directed to Mrs. Melton Weekley, Preschool Director.
Extended Day
3:20 p.m.-5:45 p.m.
Extended Day is available for K3 through eighth grade until 5:45 daily in the Lower School. First through eighth graders may attend a quiet, supervised study hall, have an afternoon snack and enjoy indoor/outdoor play. The rate for Extended Day from 3:20 p.m.–5:45 p.m. is $9.00 ($4.50 per hour). Rates are billed in fifteen minute increments. K3 through eighth grade students picked up after 3:40 will be charged appropriately. After 5:45, the charge is $6.00 per 15 minutes or part thereof. Fees are billed monthly. Enrichment
Athens Academy offers a variety of After School Enrichment courses during the school year for our students in grades K3 through 8th grade. The classes meet one hour per week for eight weeks. We offer three sessions during the year - Fall, Winter and Spring Short Session.
The instructors are from our dedicated faculty and staff at Athens Academy as well as friends from our community and parents at our school. The topics include Cooking, Art, Puppetry, Hiking, Power Point, Science (Insects, Bats, and more), Pottery, Music, Sparbots, Cheerleading and more.
Classes meet from 3:25 p.m.-4:25 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m.-5:30p.m. If you have any questions about our program contact Mrs. Carol Deaton, Enrichment Coordinator.
