Winter Camp
From December 28-31, Athens Academy hosts Winter Camp. This is an exciting opportunity for all children preschool through sixth grade in the Athens area. Each day is themed with different activities related to the theme. Monday is Pet Day; we will be sharing favorite pets (no live pets though). Tuesday is Native American Day; we will explore Native American lore. Wednesday is Snow Day; if we get enough snow, we can have a snowball fight! Friday will be Party Day and we will celebrate the end of the old year and welcome the beginning of a new year.Activities begin at 9:00 a.m. and include art, drama, music, team sports and games, library, camp store, and special activities for the day’s theme.
Extended time is available mornings from 7:40 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. and afternoons from 3:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. There is no extra charge for the morning extended time, but please indicate early arrival on the registration form. The charge for the afternoon session is $8.00 daily.Campers will be grouped according to age and will be supervised by well qualified, caring, enthusiastic counselors. Groups will be small in order to allow individualized attention.
