Athletic Teams
In all sports except volleyball, swimming, and soccer, Athens Academy is a member of Region 8-A (Social Circle to Towns County). Volleyball competes in a class A/AA Area including Athens and Gainesville schools; soccer competes in a class A/AA Area including Athens and Augusta schools. Swimming competes in an open system with all class A through AAA schools.
