Athens Academy Players
The Athens Academy Players, a children's touring troupe, presents multiple programs each year in churches, childecare centers, and preschools throughout the surrounding area. The troupe has performed at Timothy Road Elementary School, Colham Road Elementary School, Friendship Presbyterian Pre-School, Prince Avenue Christian School, Greenacres Pre-School, Kiddieland Childcare, Kids R Kids Childcare, Oconee Pre-school Academy and the Athens Academy Lower School.
This service project is just one way that drama students give back to their community. Sharing live theatre with the young in the Athens area is a great way to introduce the arts to young students and spread the joy of live theatre to children in the community. The Academy players is open to students in grade 10-12.
