Middle School Band
Athens Academy students have the opportunity to begin studying Band instruments in the fifth grade. Students are introduced to and elect to study one of the woodwind, brass or percussion instruments. Band students present several performances on campus throughout the year.
Individual students have the opportunity to participate in and/or audition for a variety of honor groups sponsored by the Georgia Music Educators Association, the Georgia Independent Schools Association, the Athens Youth Symphony and the University of Georgia.
