Service Organization
School-Wide Projects
The school sponsors several large-scale service opportunities throughout the school year. Service Day, Hands on Athens, Holiday Angels, and Relay for Life are coordinated with the help of student leaders in conjunction with the Dean of Students’ Office.
Club Projects
There are currently fourteen clubs officially recognized by Athens Academy. Membership is encouraged and open to all Upper School students. Several of these organizations are devoted to service: Interact, Habitat for Humanity, Media & Technology, and SEEDS. All clubs are encouraged to make service an integral part of the goals/activities for the year.
Grade and Division Level Projects
In the Upper School, each grade adopts an annual service project. As with the Upper School, service is an important aspect in the lives of the middle school experience. Lower and Preschool Divisions are also involved in service at various times throughout the year.
