Becoming a Spartan
As a coeducational college preparatory day school, Athens Academy seeks and admits students with a variety of talents from diverse social, economic, geographic and racial backgrounds. Students should exhibit an interest in becoming part of a community that seeks excellence in academics, the arts, athletics, and service. In addition, parents should value a school community that promotes respect and integrity above all.
We suggest thorough research for the applicant’s family and the school; we both seek a successful educational and personal experience for each child. The written material and visit are recommended as an introduction to Athens Academy so that a prospective family may understand the mission and expectations of the school before applying.
Athens Academy seeks students and families who value:
- A school community of respect
- Citizenship
- Personal responsibility
- Excellence with honor
- Intellectual inquiry
- Learning
- Achievement beyond the classroom
Notice of Non-discriminationAthens Academy admits students of any race, color, sex, or national origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, or national origin in administration of its educational policies and other school-administered programs. |
