Financial Aid
The expense sheet outlines the tuition, fees and payment schedule at Athens Academy. The school’s admissions process is designed to match Athens Academy with students who would profit most by the Academy experience. Financial aid is available on a need basis to assist qualified applicants. All financial aid matters are strictly confidential. To ensure full consideration, application for financial aid must be made by the date of the admissions application deadline. Financial aid is considered and extended after the applicant is invited.
Donor Funded Financial Aid Programs
The present program of donor-funded financial aid awards consists of:
- The Hampton L. Daughtry Program awards financial support to entering ninth graders who have not previously attended Athens Academy. The aid is based on financial need with special consideration given to academic promise.
- The Michael Houser Music Fund awards financial support based on financial need with special consideration given to musical talent and interest. The student shall be entering the sixth grade or higher and have not previously attended Athens Academy.
- The Hispanic Scholars Program awards financial support based on financial need to Hispanic students.
The purpose of the awards, in accordance with the wishes of the donors, is to make possible an Academy education for highly talented students who might not otherwise be able to attend.
The awards may be renewed annually upon satisfactory progress in all areas of school life and, as in all financial awards, an annual evaluation of the family’s financial need.
