Upper School Technology
Laptops have increasingly become an essential tool used for teaching and learning today. Athens Academy supports this belief by issuing computers to all seventh and tenth grade students. Technology is integrated into all classes in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, foreign language, and fine arts. As with all personal items, students are responsible for securing their laptops and they are responsible for the cost of repair or replacement for laptop loss, damage, and/or theft. Athens Academy’s Help Desk will support only school-selected laptops issued to students and faculty. Laptop computers are issued to tenth grade students in study halls and free periods during the first week of school. However, all forms must be turned in before computers will be released to students.
