School Wide Dress Code



Athens Academy seeks to provide the best atmosphere for the academic progress of each student. The school believes the appropriateness of dress and accessories should reflect the nature of the activity and expects its students to use sound judgment and good taste in dressing for school.

Clothing should be clean, in good repair and always meet the standards of modesty, safety and serviceability. Students do not change clothes for physical education class in the Pre/Lower Schools, and do not change for the playground in Pre/Lower and Middle Schools. Hair should be well groomed and not extreme.

Beginning with school year 2009-2010, Athens Academy adopted a standardized dress code for the Lower School and Middle School. All standardized dress fashions are available at Sunshine School Uniforms. Some items can also be purchased through the Athens Academy PSO.
