Information for Parents

Financial Responsibilities:

Involved parents are an essential resource at Athens Academy. As an independent school, Athens Academy's two most important sources of support are tuition and tax-deductible gifts. Responsibilities of parents include:
  • Make tuition payments on time.
  • Contribute according to financial ability to the Annual Fund, which provides critical support for on-going school needs.
  • Contribute according to financial ability to the ongoing 21st Century Capital Campaign to support buildings and endowment.
Parent Service Organization (PSO):

The Athens Academy Parent Service Organization is a dedicated group of parents who work with the school’s administration to enhance the quality of programs and academic life offered at Athens Academy. Parental involvement at Athens Academy began with the founding of the school in 1967 and continued with the formation of the PSO in 1983. All Academy families are encouraged to support the PSO and it's activities.

The Welcome Back Fall Coffee is held each year on the first day of classes. Parents are encouraged to attend and schoose volunteer duties during the year.

Information and Forms:

All information and forms are mailed to parents in the summer and on an as-needed basis throughout the school year. For your convenience you can download duplicate copies from the forms page in our Parents Section.
