Long Range Planning Overview

Throughout its forty-three-year history, Athens Academy has benefited from the wisdom and foresight of its Board of Trustees. Long-range planning--integrated with schoolwide accreditation efforts at Athens Academy since 1986--is an important element of the ongoing development of a school and depends upon the involvement of as many trustees, parents, students, faculty, staff, alumni, and member of the Athens area community as possible.

From conducting surveys and forming task forces and committees to charting a sustainable course for the school and its programs to follow for many years into the future, long-range planning is an involved and essential process which Athens Academy conducts every five years. This site is intended to keep members of the Athens Academy community and beyond informed about the long-range planning and accreditation efforts in progress and continuing through the fall of 2011.
