Get Involved


Volunteers are the heart and soul of any organization. The Alumni Association encourages all alums to get involved. To volunteer, contact Debbie Daniel. Alumni volunteers help Athens Academy in a myriad of ways:

Build a Connection - You can help our Alumni Association reach out to as many alumni as possible by volunteering as a Class Representative or serving as an officer of the Alumni Association.

Help with Events - You can assist with the many special events that take place each year. The Alumni Association sponsors events throughout the year including the Alumni Fall BBQ, the rotating Atlanta/Athens Alumni Party, and the Alumni Luncheon in honor of our current seniors. Other alumni gatherings are held in major cities such as Atlanta and New York.

Participate – Alumni participation is key. A crucial way that you can help Athens Academy is by working with the Development Office in fundraising efforts. Contribution by all in supporting the Annual Fund and Capital Campaign is a tradition at Athens Academy. Class participation and alumni contributors are listed in the Donor Proof Sheet and Annual Report.

Support Our Students - All alumni receive a complimentary pass for admission to all 2008-2009 athletic and fine arts events; please remember to bring your pass with you for admission. With membership in our Alumni Association exceeding 1,600, it is not possible for gatekeepers at events to recognize everyone. We will be happy to provide an additional pass for alumni spouses; please call (706)433-2458 to request one.
