The Athens Academy Parent Service Organization is a dedicated group of parents who work with the school’s administration to enhance the quality of programs and academic life offered at Athens Academy. Parental involvement at Athens Academy began with the founding of the school in 1967 and continued with the formation of the PSO in 1983.

The PSO provides a structured program of support for parents who volunteer their time and talents for the benefit of Athens Academy. Parents support the school by serving as volunteers in the media centers, lunchrooms and in leadership roles for the PSO.

All Academy families are part of the PSO and are encouraged to contact the chairperson of any PSO sponsored event to become involved. A general sign-up for events and volunteer activities is held for all parents at the Fall Coffee on the first day of school.

Service opportunities and fund raisers are planned throughout the year. Chairpersons have been appointed for each area and are happy to answer questions.
