for Students Entering

Books that can help a child learn to read may be identified by such characteristics as repetitive language patterns or story patterns or the use of such familiar sequences as numbers, the days of the week, or hierarchal patterns.  The following types of books will be very helpful in strengthening reading skills:



Alphabet books, Rhyming and predictable books, and Cumulative Stories
