Grading Rubrics: Webpage Rubric | Presentation Rubric
1. Web page presents all required elements. 20 points.
2. Class members can access the web page easily. 5 points.
3. Interactive activities are truly interactive, are creative, are educational, and are of the student designer’s own design. 15 points.
4. Text of poem accessible on web page. Entire text is present. 5 points.
5. No typographical errors. 5 points.
6. Web sites that are presented as helpful sources are college-level, pertain to the poems being presented, and were used by the presenter. 15 points.
7. Biographical information is both accurate and complete. 10 points.
8. Outline summarizes the key points of the presentation. 15 points.
9. Literary terms identified both in detail and accurately, and line numbers are cited in MLA format. 20 points.
10. Works Cited page is both complete and correctly formatted. 15 points.
11. Two critical approaches used to analyze each poem and the interpretations are accurate. 15 points.
12. Creative/original. 10 points.
Poetry Presentations
AP Language and Composition
1. Interpretation of poem is accurate. 20 points.
2. Poem is taught; the student presenter takes on the role of teacher and addresses the students as pupils. Not just reading notes, web page during presentation. 15 points.
3. Analysis is thorough. No major points left unaddressed. 15 points.
4. Class is engaged. 10 points.
5. Evidence that the presenter has planned out lesson and has practiced his/her presentation. 10 points.
6. The members of the class understand the poems well enough after the presentation to be able to analyze them on their own. 10 points.
7. Hard copies of off-line sources, outline, and works cited page in MLA format turned in or sent electronically by the time of presentation. 5 points.
8. Presenter does not have to fill in time. 5 points.
9. Presenter used time well (not noticeably too short or too long). 10 points.
