As parents, Jay and I can’t say enough about what a wonderful experience our son, Cole (Class of 2031), has had at Athens Academy, and we’re excited for his brother Jax to join the Class of 2033!
I am proud to have been associated with Athens Academy for many years--first as a graduate and member of the Class of 1998, and now as a parent and as a member of the Alumni Association Board. I know how important it is to support the school with my time and with a gift to the Annual Excellence Fund. The Academy community has a wonderful culture of support, and our families invest in the school and help to ensure an excellent experience for all students in K3 through grade 12.
Your gift is a vote of confidence, demonstrating that you support the leadership of Athens Academy and you support the school’s tradition of excellence. Our family encourages you to join us with a gift to the Annual Excellence Fund. Thank you!

Our students are the heart of Athens Academy, and the Annual Excellence Fund has a direct and immediate impact on their daily lives, providing faculty development opportunities and supporting our commitment to excellence in the educational and personal experience of each student.
As an independent school, Athens Academy is supported by tuition and tax-deductible charitable contributions. The Annual Excellence Fund strengthens and supports Athens Academy’s operating budget since the cost to educate each student is not fully covered by tuition.
We are being graded! When Athens Academy seeks foundation support, we are often asked what percentage of our community supports the Annual Excellence Fund. Your participation is critical to securing important foundation donations.
Honor Gifts are given in honor of living individuals, often a teacher or coach, to show appreciation. Alumni often choose to honor current, retired, and former teachers with Honor Gifts.
With an Honor Gift, an acknowledgement card is sent to the individual being honored (no monetary amounts are listed). The donor receives a receipt for tax purposes, as all gifts are tax deductible. At the end of the fiscal year, Honor Gifts are published in the Annual Report. In some cases, an Honor Gift fund can be established to support a naming opportunity on campus or to start an endowment fund.
Memorial Gifts are given in honor of a deceased individual. Many families request that Memorial Gifts be made to Athens Academy in lieu of flowers. With a Memorial Gift, a note is sent to the family of the individual being remembered (no monetary amounts are listed). The donor receives a receipt for tax purposes, as all gifts are tax deductible. At the end of the fiscal year, Memorial Gifts are published in the Annual Report. In some cases, a Memorial Gift fund can be established to support a naming opportunity on campus or to start an endowment fund.
