Summer @ Athens Academy

Dungeons & Dragons (Gr.6-12)

Campers will spend the week learning the ins-and-outs of the Dungeons and Dragons roleplaying game.
Through roleplay, they will use and develop a plethora of skills related to the dramatic arts, such as: creating and playing a character, improvisation, collaborative storytelling, creative writing, and many more! Campers will be divided into groups (or parties) of no more than five. Each group will (with supervision and guidance from Mr. Dale) play through a beginner-friendly pre-written D&D adventure. At the end of the week, we will come together as a class to compare stories--groups will be surprised how differently their campaigns went based on their characters' actions and choices! For more information on Dungeons and Dragons and how it is played, please email Mr. Dale at tdale@athensacademy.org.
