Sparbots Advance to State Championship Tournament!

Congratulations to the Upper School robotics team, which has qualified for the upcoming FTC state championship tournament! The team was one of six to advance after a grueling ten-hour tournament this past Saturday at Oconee County High School; they won the Connect award as well as the Finalist Alliance Team Captain award. The eighth grade Sparbots team also competed well in five matches and was even chosen for an alliance with a high school-level team but ultimately failed to advance.

The state tournament will be held February 22-23, 2019, at Blessed Trinity Catholic High School in Roswell--come out at support the Sparbots! You can also see robotics in action this coming Saturday, January 12, as Athens Academy hosts a tournament beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the Harrison Performance Hall. We hope you'll join us!
