Prep Round Up - ABH

ATHENS ACADEMY 59, COMMERCE 55: At Commerce, the No. 7-seeded Spartans snapped a three-game losing streak at exactly the right time as they slipped by the 11th-seeded Tigers in the first round of the Region 8-A tournament.
Athens Academy was led by Jack Nasworthy, who had 16 points and six assists, Aidan Saeed, who had 14 points and five assists, and Deion Colzie, who had 11 points and seven rebounds.
Commerce had two players score in double figures – Ian McConnell led with 21 points and Shawn Cunningham chipped in 13 points.
The Spartans (10-10) will meet No. 2 seed Towns County (16-7) at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the second round. The Tigers end the season at 12-16.
