ATHENS ACADEMY 3, PINECREST ACADEMY 0: At Slaughter Field, the Spartans – ranked No. 8 in Class A Private, remained undefeated and posted their first shutout of the season in a win over No. 4 Pinecrest Academy.
Dru Hunt scored Athens Academy’s first goal in the first half and Lewis Scruggs and Miles Pringle scored goals late in the second half.
Weston Rupert had the shutout in goal.
The Spartans (3-0) will host George Walton at 5 p.m. Tuesday
