I am always proud to tell people where I went to high school, and it makes my day when I meet someone who has a common tie to Athens Academy.

Dear Fellow Alumni,

It is an honor to serve as this year’s Alumni Board president. As a proud recipient of the silver bookmark, K3 to 12th grade graduate, Athens Academy had been my entire life at one point. Now, even as time continues to fly by, Athens Academy remains a major part of my story and gave me the tools to get me where I am today.

All alums should be proud to know that Athens Academy continues to improve on itself year after year. Whether that be through educational offerings, campus facilities, fine arts or community engagement, your faculty and staff continue to be hard at work to build on the foundation set for us over 50 years ago. Every time I visit campus, I am amazed at the grounds and encouraged by the relentless engagement by faculty and staff as they tackle the educational challenges of the times.

As an independent school, however, the mission to continuously pursue excellence with honor does not happen without the support of the alumni. In this relentless pursuit for better, we must continue to give back to the school that gave so much to us!  All alums should know that any donation, no matter how big or small, is vital to the school’s mission and never goes to waste.

We are now represented across the globe by over 3,000 Athens Academy alumni. Whether they are near or far, our alumni are exemplifying excellence with honor in their respective fields and communities. If you have not been to campus in recent years, I encourage you to make a visit to catch a sporting event or fine arts performance this year. I promise, you will be blown away and proud of where you came from.

I look forward to doing my part to give back this year, and I hope you will join me in that effort. Go Spartans!
