Throughout its history, Athens Academy has relied on the generosity of the community in the pursuit of excellence with honor. Six founding trustees--John E. “Buck” Griffin, John J. Wilkins, III, Dr. W. Harvey Cabaniss, Thomas Tillman, Harold Beasley, and Mrs. George “Tee” Erwin--held a unified belief for a school and sacrificed time, treasure, and talent in the early years to support the launch of Athens Academy. Their sacrifice set a powerful example--one that has been repeated over and over throughout the school’s 56-year history. Time and time again, committed stakeholders have stepped up to the plate with a shared purpose--a belief that the vision for a top-tier, co-educational academic institution in the Athens area should become a reality. And it has.

We are grateful for the continued support of our parents, alumni, grandparents, parents of alumni, faculty, staff, and friends. It is through the unparalleled dedication of the Athens Academy community that our founders’ vision and mission continue to thrive today across the Athens Academy campus, from innovative programming and enriching faculty experiences to first rate athletic, academic, and arts facilities.

The Development Office is dedicated to supporting this mission by nurturing lifelong relationships with our alumni, families, and friends securing financial resources through Annual Excellence Fund. When you are asked, please choose to participate and support the Annual Excellence Fund to make a difference in the life of Athens Academy.

On behalf of the students and faculty that benefit from your support every day, thank you for your interest and commitment to Athens Academy.
