BOYS RUNNER OF THE YEAR
Chase Kennedy, East Jackson, Jr. – Kennedy won the Class AAA state title for the second consecutive year, finishing the course at Carrollton in 17 minutes, 7.73 seconds, as East Jackson finished fourth. Kennedy also won the Region 8-AAA championship in a time of 15:40.64.
Kennedy, whose best time this season was 15:32.31 at the Alexander/Asics Invitational in October, earned six first-place finishes this fall and figures to be a factor for the Eagles’ track team, as he won the 3200 meters in Class AAA at the Georgia Olympics last May.

Tommy Sitton, East Jackson – Paced by the Kennedy brothers and led by Sitton, East Jackson finished in second place at the Class AAA state meet, the Region 8-AAA championships, the Fall Runaway and the Eagle Invitational.
BOYS ALL-AREA
Alex Branch, Athens Academy, Fr. – Finished eighth at state (18:31), ninth at area (18:35) and had a personal-best run of 17:22 at the Clarke-Oconee Championships.
Addison Cochran, Jefferson, Jr. – Finished ninth at state (18:04), sixth at region (17:00), and had a personal-best 16:38 at the Eagle Invitational.
Jake Hadden, Oconee County, Jr. – Finished 13th at state (18:12), seventh at region (17:05), ninth at the Clarke-Oconee Championships (17:25) and had a personal-best time of 16:51 in October at the Alexander/Asics Invitational in Douglasville.
Michael Hans, Oconee County, Sr. – Finished fifth at state (17:55), third at region (16:33), third at the Clarke-Oconee Championships (16:37) and had a season-best time of 15:59 . A 2014 all-area pick.
Noah Irwin, Athens Christian, Fr. – Finished 13th at state (18:43), third at area (17:42) and had a personal-best time of 17:16 in August at the Fall Runaway in Jefferson.
Ryan Iyer, Athens Academy, So. – Finished seventh at state (18:26), finished second at area (17:36) and had a personal-best run of 17:26 at the Clarke-Oconee Championships.
Chandler Kennedy, East Jackson, Jr. – Finished second at state (17:21), second at region (16:18) and had a season-best time of 15:47 at the 9 th annual Eagle Invitational. A 2014 all-area pick.
Thomas Moore, North Oconee, Sr. – Finished 12 th at state (17:47), won the Region 8-AAAA title (15:45) and Clarke-Oconee Championship (16:05), won four other meets and had a personal-best of 15:38 in October at the Mountain Invitational.
Anthony Potts , North Oconee, Jr. -- Finished 22nd at state (18:09), eighth at region (16:41) and turned in a season-best time of 16:22 at the Mountain Invitational.
Harper Sigler, North Oconee, Sr. – Finished fourth at the Clarke-Oconee Championships (16:44), seventh at the Region 8-AAAA championships with a season-best 16:27.
Jeryck Wilson, Cedar Shoals, Sr. – Finished seventh at state (17:39), second at region (16:38), first at the Winder-Barrow Invitational (17:03) and set a personal-best mark of 16:23 at the Clarke-Oconee Championships. A 2014 all-area pick.
