TOWNS COUNTY 56, ATHENS ACADEMY 45: At Commerce, second-seeded Towns County eliminated the No. 7 seed Spartans in the second round of the Region 8-A tournament.
Deion Colzie’s double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds led Athens Academy, and Jack Nasworthy contributed 12 points.
The Spartans end the season at 9-11.
