The Spartan JV team is improving as we near the end of our season.  As we have put a heavy emphasis on ball control, evidence of the team's hard work can be seen with many long rallies we engage in with some very strong teams.  Although some of our recent matches have ended in losses, we have taken some very good teams to close games right up until the end.

Coming up after interim week we will be entering our last week with Tuesday and Thursday matches and then our end of the season tournament on Saturday, October 3rd.  Come out and support our team.  Go Spartans!

The Athens Academy JV volleyball team has risen to the occasion and met their competition head on during regular weekday matches and at the playday on Saturday at Oconee County High School.  Over the past couple of weeks the team is really learning a lot about each other and becoming a unified group of athletes.   

We look forward to a fun week of volleyball as we take on Athens Christian and Prince and then head to play in a tournament at Norcross High School.

JV volleyball preseason ended with a tournament at North Oconee High School last Saturday.  Our regular season began with a home opener on Tuesday evening where we split between Habersham County and Rockdale.  On Tuesday, we will have home matches between Lakeview Academy and St. Pius.  Come support our JV girls as they have been working very hard in practice!!
